Q1. Do I need to apply for a specific position at UF Health Shands?

Yes. All of our current vacancies are posted on our career site, and you must apply for each position of interest for which you qualify. You may apply for a maximum of 10 positions at any given time.

Q2. How do you use the personal information that I have provided?

The personal information you provide on the career site is used solely for recruitment purposes. Please refer to the Privacy Policy on our website for additional information.

Q3. I have applied for a job and need to edit my application. How can I do this?

You can log in to the UF Health Career Portal to view your submitted applications. Please use the log in link at the top right of the Job Search page. It may take a while for the page to load. You are not able to edit content or add a resume to any submitted applications. However, you are able to withdraw an application and then reapply and make the necessary edits/additions.

Q4. Why haven’t I been offered an interview?

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are not able to interview all applicants. Those applicants who are most competitive and most closely meet the needs of the position will be contacted for an interview.

Q5. Why haven’t I heard about the outcome of my interview yet?

Careful and deliberate consideration is being undertaken, and a decision has not been reached yet. When a final hiring decision has been reached, your updated status will be reflected in the UF Health Career Portal, under the My Activities tab after you log in using the link at the top right of the Job Search page.

Q6. Do I need to complete the assessment at the end of the application, or can I come back to it at another time?

Once your application is submitted, you will be given the option to take the assessment “now” or “later.” When “now” is selected, the assessment will open with the option to begin immediately. When “later” is selected, you will receive an email with a link to the website to complete your assessment. Make sure you are completing the assessment in a timely manner, as it is needed for your application to be considered.

Q7. I can’t find where to add a copy of my license(s).

A license and/or certification can be added within the section inquiring about work experience (step 3). You may add your appropriate license and/or certification as an upload in that section.
