Job Opening Summary

The Director of Organizational Development is responsible for the non-clinical learning, development and training activities and opportunities provided by UF Health Shands for its staff. This individual is responsible for the implementation and ongoing training opportunities for management, supervisory and staff-level employees with the purpose of developing a highly competent and motivated workforce.

The Director assesses future and current training needs and develops the staff to provide educational opportunities in a variety of methods, including, but not limited to, e-learning and traditional classroom learning as well as through consultative services. Responsible for general employee orientation. Incumbent takes a lead role in employee engagement activities, including, but not limited to, survey preparation and action-planning activities after the annual survey.

Must have proven track record of designing and executing successful training programs; familiarity with traditional and other training methods, e.g., coaching, e-learning, mentoring, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree preferred in related area, e.g., business, human resources, organizational development. 
  • Five years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Five years' experience in an organizational development and/or training position.

 



Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $45.26
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $61.97
