Job Opening Summary

Responsible for managing the daily operation of assigned areas by ensuring appropriately trained and number of staff; ensuring adequate supplies, inventory and functional equipment; and monitoring staff performance. The incumbent manages patient and employee satisfaction activities. Works with department quality management to ensure compliance and improve work processes. Represents Radiology department in assigned meetings. Makes regular reports to Radiology management regarding operations, quality and other department initiatives.
 
Additional essential job functions:

  • Perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately.
  • Follow established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks.
  • Ensure proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and par levels meet facility needs.
  • Participate in QAPI activities, including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, state and CMS standards. 
  • Adhere to established facility/departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Attend and participate in all applicable facility meetings/trainings and development workshops 
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Director.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of a two-year program in radiology technology or relevant allied health imaging profession. 
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in management, including pediatric and adult procedures or similar setting. 
  • Proven team leadership (charge, supervisor, manager, etc.) required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: 
  • Current Florida license/registry/certification in appropriate field of training is required.
