Job Opening Summary

Abstracts, collects and documents key BMT data elements from EMR and outside facilities. Completes and submits reporting forms with these data elements to the Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). Responsible for quality of reported BMT data, research queries and audits from appropriate outside entities, including accreditation bodies and for internal review. Contributes to the development of systems to facilitate continuous process improvement. Effectively manages multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously. Cultivates productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders, including physicians, transplant nurse coordinators, stem cell lab staff, other BMT program staff and clinical trials office.
 

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year in research, ncology, stem cell transplantation, BMT data management or related setting.
  • Licensed RN or medical technologist in the State of Florida preferred
  • Clear and concise communicator; both verbal and written.
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills and able to evaluate issues and identify potential solutions.
  • Willing and able to provide thoughtful analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including, but not limited to, problem solving, teamwork, leadership and mentorship. Works well with others to achieve common goals.
  • Can perform all common functions in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Working knowledge of data management, data abstraction, clinical or laboratory research, and quality data submission.


Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Licensed RN or medical technologist in the state of Florida preferred.


Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $25.99
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $35.80
