Job Opening Summary

Supports perfusionists, who operate heart-lung machines during cardiac and transplant procedures, as well as organ transports and preservation. Duties include all aspects of monitoring and troubleshooting ECMO equipment during ECMO management; preparing equipment; assisting with patient monitoring; operating equipment for organ recovery and preservation; assisting with organ benching documenting procedures, patient transport and inventory management; continued monitoring of biologic implants; and ensuring proper sterilization and cleaning of equipment. Additionally, they will provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing paperwork and summarizing quarterly quality metrics. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to work in high-pressure environments are essential for this role.
 

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or certified surg tech/paramedic/LPN required with minimum 2 years of progressive health care experience or in hospital-based procedural areas. Licensed RN or RT or bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline may substitute for the required health care experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Must achieve Certified Transplant Preservationist (CTP) certification through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) within 12 months of hire.


Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $23.41
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $32.41
