The RN coordinator is a registered professional nurse who supports the nurse manager/director and provides shift leadership for the overall operations of the freestanding Emergency Department on a 24/7 basis, including weekends, holidays and evening/night shifts. Provides structure and support to unit staff and other health care professionals while ensuring provision of age-appropriate care for patients and families. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills and creativity and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations and compliance with hospital guidelines. Skilled in coaching, mentoring and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. Demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources by appropriate staff/resource utilization. Is supportive of change activities in the unit, and works to ensure implementation of changes that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Assists with clinical coverage schedules and serves as a clinical expert for patient care and services in the unit by providing clinical leadership support and direct patient care, if staffing requires. Works with the nurse manager/director to provide staff development and performance evaluations, and works collaboratively with the nursing coordinators to facilitate throughput. Represents the nurse manager/director when needed.
Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $36.42
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $49.52
