The Neo/Peds FRT is responsible for assessing, monitoring, planning, intervening and evaluating outcomes for neonatal and pediatric patients (up to five years of age) that are being transported. The N/P FRT coordinates care with the N/P FRN to deliver comprehensive care to neonatal and pediatric patients. Documentation of that process will be recorded in the patient’s medical record.
Transport vehicles may include helicopter, fixed winged aircraft and ground ambulances. The N/P FRT must be able to function autonomously, utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the medical director. The N/P FRT must have effective communication skills and be able to work positively in high-stress environments with patients, peers, families and other internal and external personnel. The N/P FRT functions as a resource for other flight team members by sharing skills and clinical knowledge. The N/P FRT must have excellent interpersonal skills as she/he is instrumental in providing community outreach and education. The N/P FRT must comply with height/weight restrictions as set by policy and be able to successfully egress the helicopter and/or fixed winged aircraft in accordance with emergency procedures.
The N/P FRT is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of Shands HealthCare/ShandsCair, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $25.99
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $35.80
