Job Opening Summary

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures for diagnosis and treatment, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.

Additional Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations and laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately.
  • Follows established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks.
  • Assists during exams, treatments and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring time-out is observed on appropriate procedures according to policy.
  • Demonstrates proficiency at inserting and maintaining IVs.
  • Collects laboratory samples and performs lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform laboratory quality controls and assessments and routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function checks according to laboratory policy and procedure.
  • Ensures proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and that par levels meet facility needs.
  • Participates in QAPI activities, including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process and maintenance of accreditation, state and CMS standards.
  • Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Prepares patient meals as needed in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings, training and development workshops.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Satisfactory completion of a radiologic technology program which has been accredited by an agency accepted by the ARRT. 

Licensure/Certification/Registration: 

  • Must be registered by the ARRT. 
  • Must hold a current license from the State of Florida as a certified radiologic technologist. 
  • Must have current BLS certification.
